SCRIPTURES: 1THESS. 2:18, PS. 24:7
Having known what dominion is all about, its imperative we look briefly at some hindrances to a dominion life.
Hindrance is something that makes it more difficult for you to do something or for something to develop.
Here are some of the factors that can hinder a man from dominating.
- Sin: Sin is a killer of human destiny – it can permanently deny you of your divine inheritance in God. You must make conscious effort to live a holy life this year and the grace for a Dominion life will be release upon you.
“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. (1 John 3:8 KJV)”
- Unbelief: Unbelief is the rejection of the truth of Gods word.
Unbelief is believing something other than what God has said about a situation. You may know Jesus was raised from the dead, but if you don’t believe and do what He says, you are operating in unbelief. You can believe in Him, but still not believe what He says. The Bible calls this an evil heart—a hardened heart.
“Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. (Hebrews 3:12 KJV)”
God is helpless in the life of a man who is fashioned in unbelief. Unbelief involves spiritual blindness and a determined resistance to God. we see that unbelief actually ties the hand of God and the things that God wants to do cannot be done. You must braze up and put unbelief aside in other to dominate this year.
- False evidences appear real: When false evidence to you, faith will disappear from you. And you cannot live a life of dominion without faith.
- Fear: Fear is to be afraid or feel anxious and being apprehensive about a possible or probable situation or event. A lot of believers have patterned their lives in fear – especially fear of the unknown thereby discarding the power and might of God. Fear is a huge limitation to a man who wants to dominate – dominion does not work with fear. You must trust God so much so that you know you can’t be conquered having Him on your side.
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness” Isaiah 41:10 KJV
- Disobedience: This is to refuse to comply with or follow the laid down rules. As citizens of the heavenly kingdom Phil. 3:20, we are to enforce the will of God on earth. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. God set the rules, we follow it. If you therefore will not follow His rules by disobeying them, how do you expect Him to give you dominion.
For exaltation comes neither from east nor from west nor from south. But God is the Judge: He puts down one and exalts another.
It is God who sets up kings and remove kings. You can’t keep disrespecting your boss in the office and expect a promotion (Psalms 75:6-7).
“If you will diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to obey carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. (Deu.28:1)”
Therefore, obedience is a vital key which leads a man to incontestable dominion.
- Lack of spiritual violence: Violence is vital in the school of dominion. For you to rule, you must be violent. Men of dominion are people who wage war against the kingdom of the devil and then claim their possessions. It’s written; Matthew 11:12 KJV
And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
How do you expect to rule over violent spirits, violent situations, violent foes if you are not violent. You must be spiritually rugged and it is in the place of prayers and lawful physical actions, that dominion life manifests.
Beloved! Shake off the spirit of laziness and press on – in the realms of the spirit spiritual Warfare and maximum use of the whole armour of God gives a man total victory and unhindered freedom. (2 Corinthians 10:3-4 KJV, Eph. 6:12)”
As a believer, you are to dominate every where; in politics, business, academics, office, marriage, family and others respectively.
- Lack of the Word of God: A believer without the Word is like a car without fuel. The absence of the Word of God in your life is the presence of satanic invasion, oppression and manipulation. No spiritual battle can be won on the platform Of Word neglect.
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. (Psalm 119:105 KJV)”
The word of God is a tool to defeating and dislodging the the expertise of the devil. It is the map of the spirit. Its your visa to accessing the throne of God. Heaven has no business with a man who is void of the Word. Your maturity in the kingdom is determined by how much of Gods Word you know.
Beloved, if you must dominate and blossom in the year 2020, then you must engage in serious study of the Word of God because it is your shield.
“Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. (Proverbs 30:5 KJV)”
PRAYERS
1.My Father, I thank you for supernaturally advancing me in Jesus name.
- Psalms 51:10. O Lord, create in my a clean heart in this year of dominion so as to know your ways and agenda in my life in the name of Jesus.
- Romans 8:15. O Lord, by your power I break and destroy every spirit of blockage and barriers in my life in the name of Jesus.
- Col. 2:15. O Lord, I spoil every agenda of the devil in my life this year in the name of Jesus. I refuse to be limited by the power of God in Jesus name.
- O Lord, I break loose from every demonic hindrances and spell in the name of Jesus. Amen
